Shift work is required to support 24x7operations.It is important to be available to work anyshift/designated hours required to include nights, weekends and holidays.
Computer network defense analysts mustpossess a thorough understanding of all aspects of computer and networksecurity, including such areas as firewall administration, encryptiontechnologies and network protocols. The analyst must have experience with SIEM,log analysis, vulnerability analysis and some scripting. Analysts need strong oral and writtencommunication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellentjudgment and self-motivation. They should be able to multitask and work wellunder pressure. They must be able to investigate alerts, anomalies, error,intrusions, malware, etc. to identify the extent of a security incident andthey must be able to help isolate the responsible agents. It is important thatcandidates keep abreast of industry security trends and developments, as wellas applicable Government regulations.
Assisting in incident response
Monitoring systems security and responding to securityincidents
Participating in security systems testing
Ensuring integrity and confidentiality of sensitivedata
Preventing and detecting intrusion
Incident containment and remediation recommendations
Conducting log file analysis
Provide Daily reports
Attend daily, weekly and/or monthly VTCs

- DoDD 8570.01-M CSSP Analyst levelcertification OR CSSP IncidentResponder level certification (please see approved 8570.01 baselinecertifications for specific certification types allowable https://iase.disa.mil/iawip/Pages/iabaseline.aspx )
- Work will be performed inside a largefacility. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: closequarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Work assignments varybased on client requirements.
- Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC orlaptop. Filing required. May require lifting and carrying equipment, boxes ofsupplies or files up to 50 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptopor phone.
- General office equipment, which includes: telephone,fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment.Servers, switches, routers and other computer equipment that supports thenetwork environment.
Regular attendance in accordance withestablished work schedule is mandatory. Shift Work is required to support operations. The candidate chosen for this position willwork varying shifts
