Lead in the development project scope and fee documents. Develop project specifications and cost estimates. Organize and support internal and external project kick-off meetings, develop associated deliverables such as meeting agendas, presentations, and meeting minutes. Develop reports documenting technical analysis associated with stormwater evaluations, climate risk analysis and construction/site inspection and supervision. Lead and provide guidance in the development of climate risk and vulnerability assessments, in addition to the development of planning for municipalities based on post disaster repair and recovery. Carry out various GIS/ArcMap/ArcPro based geospatial analyses, in addition to creating maps to display the result these analyses. Conduct watershed & hydrologic modeling for flood mitigation projects using MS Excel data analysis in addition to modeling software such as FloodModeller, HEC-Ras and ICPR4. Development of project Grant Applications and other alternative project funding mechanisms. Support local municipalities in the review utility permit application submittals for new power, sanitary sewer, telecommunication, and water conveyance infrastructure. Lead in the detailed review of contractor submittals. Independently carry out field work including but not limited to existing condition data collection, soil corrosion testing, field survey verification, production well construction, injection well rehabilitation, facility hazmat inspection, potable water pipeline construction.

Telecommuting is allowed.

Travel: 20% travel (Domestic travel for site and client office/facility visits).

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study and 3 years of work experience as an Environmental Engineer or a related position in Water Resources Engineering occupation.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

Expertise/ knowledge of:

  • 2D and 3D AutoCAD

  • Civil 3D Software

  • BlueBeam

  • Technical Writing for Engineering Processes and Solutions

  • Watershed and Tidal Flood Modeling.

  • Basic Ecological and Biochemical Knowledge for Natural Water Treatment System Processes

  • Hydraulic and Hydrologic data analysis

  • Use of ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro in the development and display geospatial data

  • Grant Writing for Water Resources and Climate Resilience projects

  • Water Resources Construction and Rehabilitation Supervision

  • Understanding of local municipal permit requirements which govern the installation of power, sanitary sewer, telecommunication, and water conveyance infrastructure.Must have: Certified in OSHA-10hr Training. Confined Space Entry Certification.
