Jacobs is seeking a Sales & Project Renewal Manager to join our team. You’ll create, organize and execute persuasion strategies that advance the Operations Management and Facility Services (OMFS) business group’s goals and strategic plan. The location for this position is preferred to be in Jacobs’ South region. Candidate must live near a major airport. Position will require up to 50% travel. Working with other members of our team, you’ll lead the overall effort to coordinate OM project delivery teams in developing strategies for non-competitive renewal offers or positioning strategies for upcoming competitive renewals. You’ll also bring thorough knowledge of industry trends, competitors and disciplines to identify, qualify and pursue new operations and maintenance project opportunities. You’ll work with OM project delivery teams on client relationship plan implementation to ensure meaningful engagement at multiple levels in our client organizations. You’ll lead emerging and established professionals, providing strategic leadership for the OM project renewal process by developing compelling differentiated strategies and value propositions for new work and competitive renewal proposal efforts. You’ll also develop SOQs, proposals, and presentations (the persuasion phase) in concert with the procurement team, to ensure client-focused proposals and presentations that meet RFP requirements and are consistent with the sales strategy and work with OM project delivery teams to identify client driven critical success factors and assists in developing strategies and allocating resources to meet client needs.

Qualifications

Here's what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical or Scientific discipline, Business, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, or related field from an accredited university

  • Minimum 7 years relevant proposal and/or inside sales experience in an Engineering & Construction organization or closely related professional services firm

  • 2 years of experience in leading or managing a high-performance inside sales or marketing team

  • Ability to demonstrate thorough understanding of industry contracting mechanisms and support contract negotiation activities

  • Possess and apply knowledge of clients, competitor, and industry trends within assigned division

  • Ability to develop and administer ongoing processes, procedures, and associated budgets/timelines

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • Ability to ensure consistency of disciplined sales practices, and champion the use of enterprise tools and systems

  • Previous successful experience providing staff leadership, communication, staff assignments, and developing staff capabilities

  • Previous experience in managing functional objectives, coordinating multiple deadlines while working effectively with staff at all levels
