The Systems Architectmust possess excellent communication skills, tact and effective listeningskills. The position requires consistentfollow through and the ability to anticipate questions while being prepared withanswers or follow-up.
The SystemsArchitect must have the ability to work independently with little to nosupervision researching new technologies or comparing technologies to meet thecustomers need while providing an unbiased opinion; however, the SystemsArchitect must be a team player and be able to follow processes andprocedures. The Systems Architect mustbe a self-disciplined, self-starting professional who can successfully bringprojects to closure with minimum direction, guidance and oversite.
Theposition requires professional level experience in designing and implementingenterprise level systems and scalable solutions as well as designing andimplementing systems management tools to include centralized configurationtools, monitoring tools and management tools.
Performing tier four architecture and engineeringsupport
Assessing business and applications requirements forsystems
Planning, designing and upgrading systems installationprojects
Establishing and maintaining backup, version-controland malware defense systems
Troubleshooting network architecture and makingrecommendations for system repairs and enhancements
Making recommendations for leveraging systeminstallations and reducing operational costs
Creating white papers and other professional documentswhich articulate requirements, capabilities and complex solutions
Developing and presenting briefings to high-levelgovernment stakeholders
Providing reports to Government IT managers
Required Clearance: TS/SCI
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited collegeor university in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, aMathematics-intensive discipline, or a similar field is recommended. Candidatesmay substitute at least 8 years of IT related experience for education.
Description: Experience in IT-related discipline. Must have experience with at least one of the following: Nutanix, Dell EMC, NetApp, and/or Data Domain.
RequiredCertification: Employment is contingent upon obtainingall required certifications within the timeframe specified in a waiver by thegovernment (if applicable) and maintaining required certifications through theduration of the contract. Failure to obtain/maintain required certificationswill result in disqualification for this position and could result intermination.
- As Required
- Work will be performed inside a largefacility. Work assignments vary based on client requirements. Position couldrequire some night and weekend work.
- Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop.Filing required. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files upto 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone.
Equipment and Machines
- General office equipment, which includes:telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous officeequipment.
Work assignments dependent on requirementsby the client. It is important to be able to work at least 8 hours a day for 5days per week (Monday through Friday).
On-Call or after-hours support may berequired
You may be asked to continue performanceduring inclement weather or other conditions when others are not permitted towork
You may be asked to continue performance insupport of a war, contingency or exercises
- Continental and Oversees travel may berequired. It is important to maintain acurrent passport.

Candidate must exhibit a professionalbehavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivityin the workplace. Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate,prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressureenvironment. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to workeffectively with a variety of government, military and contractor personnel atall levels. Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at alllevels of the organization. Grooming and dress usually business casual, butdependent on client’s standards. Must not pose a safety hazard to employeesworking in the same general area.
