Jacobs Environmental Compliance Intern-Multiple locations throughout the United States- Hybrid - Summer 2025 in Tempe, Arizona

Based out of the United States (preferred locations: New Orleans, LA; Salt Lake City, UT; Irvine, CA; Phoenix, AZ) you’ll assist a team of project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers in delivering environmental services on time and within budget for world class projects. You’ll work with a knowledgeable and supportive group of professional staff as you conduct data analysis including air and greenhouse gas emissions; create technical reports documenting completed activities and results; review regulations and create compliance demonstrations; plan and execute field activities including observations, auditing, soil sampling, and groundwater sampling; prepare scopes of work for subcontracts. Estimated time spent doing fieldwork is approximately up to 50%, with some of that being out-of-town travel.

In pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or closely related field
Must be at least a rising Junior
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Willingness to perform field work
United States Citizenship
Ability to work in one of the preferred locations for this internship (New Orleans, LA; Salt Lake City, UT; Irvine, CA; Phoenix, AZ)
Ideally, you’ll also have:
3.0 GPA
A previous internship related to your field of study
Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs
Self-driven time management and organizational skills
Ability to obtain 40-hour Hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) training and current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher class, if needed for role
