Your Impact:

Jacobs is seeking a qualified Cityworks/GIS Analyst to perform technical and administrative work participating in the planning, maintenance, and operations of the Cityworks enterprise Asset Management system. Cityworks is a GIS-centric asset management and work order system used to track activity across several departments within The Villages project. This is a hands-on position, requiring experience with enterprise application administration, strong communication skills, and effective collaboration skills with the ability to lead a small team. You'll perform work under the general direction of the Planning/Scheduling Supervisor and Program Director.


• Plan, configure, maintain, and upgrade the Cityworks application, ESRI software products and other related applications.

• Responsible for the overall health of the Cityworks and GIS applications.

• Work with project teams during all phases of the project life cycle including requirements gathering and analysis, design, build, test, training, and support.

• Responsible for testing new configurations, developing customizations, and migrating changes across different environments.

• Maintain security roles within the Cityworks and GIS applications.

• Provide configuration and support on various platforms and databases related to Cityworks, GIS, and other business applications.

• Design and develop reports and analytics within Cityworks, Crystal Reports and other analytics tools.

• Present technical issues and their impact to management with solution recommendations.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and three years of progressively responsible GIS/Information Technology experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

  • Three (3) years GIS and/or ESRI experience

  • At least two references, including phone numbers, where the candidate performed similar services to those requested above.

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

  • Master’s degree in related field

  • At least three (3) years of experience in the following:

  • Cityworks (or similar enterprise software)

  • Data migration and system integration processes

  • Cityworks enterprise application administration, relational databases (SQL Server preferred)

  • Reporting and/or data analytics tools (Crystal Reports preferred)

  • Microsoft Office Products

  • Ability to meet commitments and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment with a high-level of accuracy and efficiency.

  • Ability to implement technical solutions through all phases of the application development lifecycle.

  • Strong understanding of GIS concepts and capabilities.

  • Strong communication skills (written/verbal) that demonstrate understanding of complex technical details, clarity of thought, and the ability to understand users and their needs.

  • Attention to detail and organization in all aspects of work.

  • Direct experience administrating an Enterprise Asset/Work Order Management Application such as Cityworks. Experience with ESRI GIS software, and SQL Server databases.
