We provide strategic capital and transaction advisory services for major projects in the infrastructure market across all phases of the business life cycle, informed by our operational knowledge and deep functional expertise. By integrating both strategic and technical expertise we serve the “whole client” from the executive leadership to those who procure deliver projects and operations.

Due to increased demand for our services and an expanding portfolio of multi-million-dollar projects, we seek a talented and dynamic Director, Transaction Advisory Services with significant relevant experience, to join our busy, vibrant team based in Toronto, ON . The position is an immediate opening with flexible timing for onboarding the right candidate.

Our consultants play a vital role in delivering these solutions and need to display high levels of analytical rigour alongside thought-leadership, tenacity, agility, and organizational skills daily.

As our Director, Transaction Advisory Services your main responsibility will be to serve as operational lead and manage the Capital & Transaction Advisory practice in the Americas, assisting in the development and driving growth of the team within the Jacobs organization in close collaboration with Client Account and Sales Managers across the company.

You’ll interface with markets, prospects and clients for prospecting /lead generation, strategic positioning and value proposition development, including internal coordination across practice network and geography (principally North America and the Caribbean). You’ll lead and manage pursuit strategies for service offerings, develop proposals and lead presentations to clients. You’ll lead and manage client-facing assignments providing strategic technical analysis, due diligence, and high-level transaction advice on infrastructure project development and procurement (traditional and alternatives models), presenting findings to clients and implement follow-on programs.

You will direct key international projects as lead of Independent Certifier mandates in the P3 market and assist in best practices and driving growth in this market. You’ll lead procurement of projects, development of procurement option analysis, bid documentation, conduct bid reviews and evaluation, facilitate negotiations and provide recommendations for award. You will be involved in the preparation of option analysis, due diligence and benefits/cost assessments; oversee drafting and final output of technical reports, findings and responding to queries for public and/or private client work.

You’ll work on time-sensitive projects such as: strategy development, due diligence, risk appraisal, project monitoring, demand, revenue and CapEx/RepEx modeling, performance modeling, business case and economic appraisal. You’ll represent the firm, promote the brand, and present thought-leadership at industry events, conferences and leading international symposia; will self-manage assignments and be accountable for deliverables.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• A postgraduate or professional qualification in planning, engineering, architecture, business administration (MBA), finance, or related field

• At least 15 years of prior experience leading the development and use of capital project business models including demand and revenue, feasibility studies, performance, business case economic appraisal, construction and operating & maintenance costs

• At least 10 years’ experience in Independent Certifier roles on P3 projects in Canada

• Excellent analytical, quantitative, qualitative, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills

• Experience of producing high quality technical reports. Have experience in one or more related sectors (e.g. rail, aviation, ports and waterways, highways and toll roads, social infrastructure)

• Have an awareness in one or multiple industry standards (e.g. procurement models, design and build standards, maintenance standards, asset management standards, contract
