We are looking for a driven and curious client-focused junior water / wastewater treatment design engineer in Toronto, to support our regional team.

As a key member of our Toronto team, you’ll have the chance to perform a variety of municipal drinking water and wastewater treatment engineering work in the initial planning, design phase and construction administration of projects. Working with other members of our team, you'll work on projects evaluating and selecting the best treatment approach to solve a client’s challenges and planning, designing treatment systems and plant improvements and ultimately seeing the upgrades through to construction. You will assist with proposals, technical memoranda, engineering reports, planning studies, cost estimates, approvals, construction contract documents, specifications and drawings. In addition to communicating with clients, sub-consultants, contractors and regulatory bodies, you will work under the guidance of a project or design manager to develop basic project management skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering

• 0-2 years of experience and knowledge of municipal water and/or wastewater treatment equipment, systems, and processes

• Ability to drive to project sites within 3 hours of the Greater Toronto Area

• Ability to obtain a professional engineer license is essential for independent work

• Knowledge of relevant agency and industry approvals, standards, guidelines, and best practices are an asset.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects concurrently.
