Description

This position is within the Treasury Department of the Home Office in Tullahoma, TN.

Receive vendor invoices and other payment requests and process according to established company policies and procedures. Receive, research, and resolve vendor payment problems and concerns. Maintain orderly files and records, including up-to-date process documentation, prepare annual 1099 information for IRS reporting, assist segments with information requests, prepare reports and provide general assistance to the Treasury Department as needed. Comply with SARBOX and BMS standards. Keep supervisor informed of all potential problems in addition to identification of ways to improve AP efficiency. Work with other members of the Home Office to ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.

Qualifications

Requires two (2) years of college and four (4) years of progressive experience with emphasis on accounts payable or other related accounting experience or any equivalent combination of relevant education and accounting experience for a total of six (6) years. Should have an understanding of the concept of journal entries. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel) required. Must be able to communicate efficiently and effectively with employees at all levels

of the organization.

Experience with problem research and resolution with accounts payable systems, cost accounting systems, Office programs (Excel) required. Must be able to communicate efficiently and effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Ability to work with frequent interruptions in a multi-task environment is a plus. Must possess excellent organizing skills and be able to learn roles for cost allowability.

Unusual or Special Physical Requirements of Position

Must be able to sit at a computer for extended periods.

Computer (90%); General Office equipment.

Attendance

Attendance is critical at all times to ensure response to customer requirements (100%). Work, including overtime, may be required after hours and on weekends, and sometimes on short notice.

Other Essential Functions

Must take and pass a drug test and background check. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance necessary for position. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be willing and able to travel as needed.
