We are seeking an Electrical Quality Assurance Representative (EQAR), to be based in the Vancouver, WA area. Jacobs is looking for an individual who is excited about working on Facilities and Infrastructure projects supporting our clients’ business and business practices. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on construction projects including new facilities, both general and critical, facility re-purpose and site infrastructure. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of pre-cover electrical code requirements and experience using NEC manuals for commercial/industrial applications. You’ll be accountable for working with design-build contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality compliance, reviewing plans and specifications and construction record-keeping using Procore. Your responsibilities will include observing and reporting on construction progress and working closely with the clients’ construction manager. Review of construction schedules, change order requests and pay applications are also tasks you may be expected to perform.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Candidates must meet ONE of the following qualifications:

  • Completion of Registered Electrical Apprenticeship Training Program

  • Associate Degree in Electrical Construction Technology (or equivalent)

  • Journeyman Electrician (or equivalent) or Master Electrician

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or PE in Electrical Engineering

  • 8,000 hours as an electrician

  • 4,000 hours as an electrical inspector

  • 10+ years of experience in construction inspection for facilities and/or infrastructure projects, providing quality confirmation.

  • Knowledge of pre-cover electrical code requirements and experience using NEC manuals for commercial and/or industrial applications.

  • Knowledge of construction including material, methods, plans and specifications; associated safety requirements.

  • Ability to read and interpret building and site plans and specifications.

  • Able and willing to work day shifts and/or flexible schedules including weekends as required to support the project requirements.

  • Required to have and maintain a satisfactory driving record.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Knowledge of ICC family of Codes.

  • ICC Commercial Building Inspector certification.

  • CPR/FA/AED Card.

  • Completed OSHA 30-hour General Industry Outreach Training Program.
