Jacobs is seeking a qualified Space Program Analyst to support the newly awarded NISSC II contract. Your career at Jacobs enables NISSC to fulfill its mission to “provide classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability in organizational work centers at NISSC sites.” As a member of our team, you will support corporate and customer mission to provide world-class IT services and support that connects systems and users across NORAD in the areas of software development/maintenance, network services, cyber security, systems administration, and other mission-critical areas.
Day shift, Panama schedule (3-2-2-3), 12-hr shifts
Perform the function of the Space Programmer Analyst in providing systems administration and system/mission analysis support during the operation and maintenance of the SPADOC system and associated hardware and software
Maintains significant level of expertise on the Combatant Commander Integrated Command and Control System (CCIC2S) with a focus on Legacy Space systems and subsystems
Provide system administration and system/mission analysis support during the operation and maintenance of the SPADOC enclave to include the associated hardware, software, clients, servers, IBM mainframe and related peripheral devices
Implement and maintain smooth operation physical design of databases and to conduct performance tuning of indexes and databases in general
Review database design and integration of systems, provide backup recovery and make recommendation regarding enhancement and/or improvements
Maintain a significant level of expertise on commercial database systems and network technologies
Follow policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management and monitor transaction activity and utilization
Provides data management support when on-shift
This position is expected to pay $70,000 – $90,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Typically requires an AS degree in a computer field or 2 years of related experience. Progressive relevant training and/or certification may be substituted for a portion of the experience requirement.
Current Security+ CE
Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (OS)
Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies
Cyber and Space Operations experience desired
Basic RedHat or Linux experience/knowledge
Know the difference between virtual machine and Remote Desktop
Background with SPADOC or space situational analysis or space orbital analysis
Must be able to work non-standard shifts to include rotational, non-standard schedules, holidays, and weekends
Able to report to work and remain on site for extended periods of time during emergencies and drills
