The site access specialist will provide management, development, maintenance and support of site access requirements for the SLDA project site. Site access will include training, medical monitoring, security and other elements needed to obtain and maintain credentials (badges) necessary to access the SLDA site, enter various work areas within the site and perform assigned tasks within authorized work areas.

The site access specialist will work closely with on-site management personnel, subject matter experts, safety, quality, and security to develop requirements necessary to integrate into the site badging process.

The position will work to develop tracking systems to be used on site (e.g., database, spreadsheets, etc.) required to effectively track expiration of credentials, coordination with site personnel to maintain their credentials and maintenance of the tracking system for integration into the badging process.

The position will assist on-site management personnel, subject matter experts, safety, quality, and security in development, delivery and maintenance of on-site training materials required for access and assigned tasks.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in a related field, e.g., safety science, training sciences, learning management

  • Minimum of two years in the development, maintenance and support of credential / training management systems.

  • Experience in key areas including safety, operations, procedure development and program management.

  • Detail oriented with strong ability to understand, interpret and document technical information.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, verbal communication skills and public speaking / presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently to meet objectives and expectations, including while working in off-site work environments.

Essential Functions:

Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. This will be primarily an office based position, however would require some work outside. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional local travel, will work near remediation and construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity. Project Information: The work location for this position is in Parks Township, PA near Pittsburg.
