Your Impact:

When it comes to environmental consulting, we’re focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve tomorrow. We’re looking for an experienced Environmental Engineer or Geologist to work on site characterization and remediation projects for government and private-sector clients.

Based in Virginia Beach, you’ll collaborate with experienced scientists, engineers and project managers to solve our clients’ most challenging environmental issues. You’ll grow further in task management as you support project managers in preparing for and leading field activities, championing safety, quality and the well-being of the team, while also regularly communicating with our clients and regulators. You’ll support health and safety managers by developing safety plans, including coordination of audits, integrated field team communications, and corrective actions where needed.

You’ll use your analytical skills to review data from sampling, reports, maps, drawings, or other sources to support site characterization efforts. You’ll develop your technical writing skills with help from peer reviews and present data and evaluations in a clear and concise manner as well as contribute to the development of regulatory reporting technical documents (work plans, environmental investigation reports, and remedial designs). You’ll also design and implement pilot studies and remedial systems for sites impacted with chlorinated volatile organic compounds, petroleum-related compounds, and other environmental contaminants.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, geology or other closely related technical degree.

  • Professional environmental project experience, including environmental sampling and subcontractor oversight.

  • Experience conducting remedial investigations, feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, remedial designs/actions, installing and optimizing remediation systems.

  • HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain and maintain.

  • Ability to plan and perform or oversee field work.

  • Local (or willing to relocate) to the Virginia Beach/Norfolk, VA area.

  • US Citizenship

Ideally, You’ll Also Have: 

  • Experience as a Task Manager and/or Project Manager on environmental remediation projects.

  • Professional Engineer or Geologist license (P.E. or P.G.) or ability to obtain and maintain.

  • Knowledge of USEPA regulations to include CERCLA and RCRA.
