Jacobs is in search of an experienced Maintenance Technician/ Millwright Electrician. This postion will work out of the Warren, MI location. Please read the minimum requirements carefully.

BRIEF OUTLINE OF SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Skills/Duties and Responsibilities:

Repair, troubleshoot and maintain evaluation and testing equipment that includes:

  • Chassis

  • Engine and Transmission Dynamometers

  • Fans

  • Environmental Chambers

  • Boilers, Compressors, Chillers, Steam Valves

  • Pumps and Exhaust Systems

  • HVAC Units

  • Hydraulic and Electrical Systems

Additional duties Include:

  • Communicate daily with equipment operators, test technicians and leaders on equipment functions, concerns and overall conditions

  • Conduct, develop, maintain, and continuously improve the preventive maintenance program

  • Identify spare parts and help manage vendor service reps and contractors as required

  • Manage the process of preventive maintenance tasks and repair work orders within CMMS

  • Assist with developing maintenance job plans and standard practices for equipment

  • Troubleshoot PLC logic via PLC software

  • Ability to write work instructions and safe job analysis for maintenance tasks and train other maintenance and test technicians.

  • The successful candidate must be a self-starter that can operate with minimal supervision. They must be able to work independently but will also function as a member of a maintenance team.

  • They must be capable of safety stopping work when interrupted.

  • The candidate will be required to become familiar and comply with company and Jacobs and Client policies for safety, security, and the rules associated with outside contractors working on-site.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing, communication, listening and comprehension skills.

  • Proficient in CMMS systems, and Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word

  • Project management and capital project experience preferred. Required to participate in new equipment kanban’s and assist with determining spare part, service and PM requirements.

Required Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree required in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering Technology (preferred), Electronics, Mechatronics, HVACR, Mechanical Engineering Technology.

  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting.

  • 8+ years of maintenance experience on industrial equipment such as environmental chambers, boilers, compressors, chillers, pumps and exhaust systems, HVAC units, hydraulic systems, electrical and PLC systems.

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), e.g., Maximo, CWorks

  • Able and willing to work 10% to 20% overtime.
