Jacobs is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join our team supporting our federal client. Successful candidate will possess a high level of theoretical, educational and practical experience architecting and engineering Microsoft based Enterprise services and solutions.
This is a technically challenging position that requires aptitude and fluency in both MS Windows based services but also Cisco and Brocade Networking solutions.

Subject matter expertise with MS Windows based server and client/workstation services and software; with a constant focus on security requirements as they apply to classified domains from UNCLASSIFIED to TS/SCI and Special Access Programs, ensuring products, systems and Services maintain compliance with their respective accreditation guidance.
Demonstrate ability to provide advanced/senior level support and guidance on the configuration, integration and maintenance of (at a minimum) IBM, HP, CISCO, Brocade, TACLANE, DELL, hardware and software.
Demonstrate ability to provide advanced/senior level support with the engineering/architecture, deployment and support of MS Windows server –2008R2 - 2016 (data center), all aspects of efficient and secure management of Active Directory and its associated services, MS Exchange, MS SQL Server, MS System Center/Operations Manager
Must demonstrate the aptitude and expertise to support existing legacy services while preparing efficient migration strategies to current or more efficient versions of services.
Expert level knowledge and support for virtual and cloud based technologies; emphasis on ESXi, Xen Desktop and CISCO UCS and the deployment and sustainment thereof.
Experience in management and control of complex information systems architectures; systems involving multiple disparate networks, and communications subsystems.
C41 systems engineering experience in a military headquarters or command center environment.
System design and engineering experience applied to developing and implementing a wide variety of mission-critical computer and software systems.
Experience in system engineering, installation and testing. Working knowledge of complex system development life cycle practices and technology refreshment strategies.
TS/SCI, at least 15 years of experience. Ability to meet or exceed 8570 IAT Level 3 requirements to include CE certification.
Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
Equipment & Machines:
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance is always critical. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check. Must be a US citizen.
