About the Opportunity;

The HVAC / Piping category focuses on issues relating to the heating, ventilation and air conditioning and piped services of plants and buildings across the Sellafield site. The category uses a partner led method for delivery of design services led by an Axiom Area Engineering Manager.

Engineering Management is required for multiple HVAC / Piping projects from initial scoping through to the Construction/Commissioning phases and ultimately to final handover with Plant Operations.

Duties will include:

  • Leading the development of the engineering elements of the project/task baseline scope, schedule and budget

  • Coordinating delivery across disciplines

  • Assessment of new items on the worklist and definition of the scope of work required

  • Ensure work portfolio is delivered and controlled efficiently and effectively to meet agreed specification, cost and schedule

  • Ensure status and performance of work is reported accurately and in a timely manner

  • Lead production of design Quality Plans

  • Lead co-ordination of LFE across the category

  • Interfacing with design teams and stakeholders

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Proficient and demonstrable understanding of Project System Engineering Delivery

  • Requirements derivation & validation through stakeholder engagement

  • Demonstrate strong leadership behaviours to drive timely delivery of an engineering schedule to quality and cost.

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in the successful management of the interface between the client team and the integrated delivery team.

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering early phase scoping activities (requirements management, optioneering etc) and project initiation (execution planning, scope definition, schedule build, estimating, risk management) for multi-discipline asset care projects.

  • Developing ‘fit for purpose’ project execution strategies that are commensurate with a portfolio of asset care type work.

  • Provide evidence to underpin a SQEP assessment against SR0629 (see attached).
