About the opportunity:

Jacobs Nuclear is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver £7bn of major projects. We are looking to recruit high value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment. PPP is delivering major projects, site wide improvements and provision of supporting services.

We are currently looking for a BIM Manager to join the SWMRF (one of the big projects) team in Birchwood Park, Warrington.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver project BIM strategy in line with project, programme and client requirements.

  • Interpret and communicate emerging best practices within BIM to key stakeholders for consideration and adoption.

  • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) & BIM specialists from other disciplines to ensure the integrity of the federated BIM model and extend its usefulness (e.g., 4D, 5D etc.).

  • Establish processes and\or perform data integrity audits to ensure standards, naming and numbering schemes etc. within authoring tools are aligned with project requirements.

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert in one or more of the 3D modelling tools such as Autodesk Revit, Inventor and\or Aveva E3D and promote effective use of such tools.

  • Act as the primary interface with Key Delivery Partners and other 3rd parties involved in delivering BIM related content to facilitate effective collaboration and federation of the BIM model.

  • Keep abreast of industry best practices, standards, and technologies through participation in BIM related forums, communities of practice etc. to facilitate cross project knowledge transfer.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Demonstrable track record of managing BIM and related processes and technologies on major transformation projects.

  • In-depth working knowledge in the use of one or more of the following: Autodesk Revit, Inventor, Navisworks and Aveva E3D

  • Ability to develop coherent processes, plans, and procedures in compliance with regulator, client, and programme requirements to suit the project

  • Ability to identify areas for improvement within BIM related processes and implement automation solutions.
