About the opportunity:

AXIOM is one of the DSA alliance partners and is an unincorporated Joint Venture (JV) made up of four major engineering contracting companies each with complementary capabilities and skills. The members have excellent nuclear pedigrees, demonstrated expertise and effective track records across the UK nuclear fleet and related nuclear industries.

AXIOM provides process, mechanical, civil structural and architectural, electrical, instrumentation, control and safety capabilities to support Sellafield Ltd.

The extensive capacity and capabilities of the AXIOM alliance provide the essential expertise that is crucial to achieving both the designs of the alliance and the wider goals of Sellafield Ltd and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA).

We have an opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our Warrington team.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Line Management focused on the care, wellbeing, personal development and career development of our staff aligned to Jacobs core values and expectations through ‘full life cycle’ management.

  • Developing and growing customer relationships.

  • Engagement with stakeholders and clients to develop and maintain appropriate measures and delivery methodologies.

  • Ensure flawless project execution, meeting or beating the delivery commitments made.

  • Progressing a multi-disciplined approach with the appropriate resources including interface with business supporting functions.

  • Identification of improvements and drive initiatives to enhance the aims of the business and project performance to ensure maximised benefits and value-added outcomes.

  • Ensuring the incorporation of ‘best practice’ and LFE into the framework/project /task delivery

  • Identifying new opportunities and collaborating with other stakeholders to realise benefits.

  • Coordination of resourcing/recruitment needs, including participation in candidate interviews, candidate selection and approval process.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Experience of business development and the production of winning bids.

  • Good understanding of financial and commercial aspects of operations management.

  • Able to communicate effectively and develop relationships with at all levels of the business and external organisations.

  • A clear focus on collaboration and growth
