About the Opportunity:

Jacobs Engineering Development are currently recruiting for key positions within our design team to strengthen our existing capability for several new and exciting projects in the energy sector.

Jacobs Engineering Development works with our clients to develop complete solutions to complex problems. We focus on solving the problem quickly by finding a fit for purpose engineering solution which can be rapidly developed, tested and deployed. We are based at Birchwood in Warrington and via our labs, rig halls and manufacturing capability on site can offer full project lifecycle solutions via: design, manufacture, testing and deployment. This is an opportunity to be involved in fast paced projects that will challenge you.

Specific responsibilities are:

  • Assist with development of process functional requirements of the design at project initiation

  • Production of technical and engineering reports

  • Production of Process Engineering Drawings

  • Production of Process calculations (to support design)

  • Input to Designers Risk Assessment

  • Liaising with the in house manufacturing team and equipment suppliers

  • Conducting, assessing, and reviewing trials work to determine an optimum solution for the clients

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering (or relevant engineering discipline)/Ideally chartered or working towards chartership.

  • H&S Focus, particularly on CDM

  • Proactive and driven approach to work, taking ownership of the tasks required to be completed under their remit.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work with other team members

  • Competent Report writing skills: clearly and concisely reporting findings.

  • Comfortable working under time and cost constraints.
