About the opportunity:

Jacobs Nuclear is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver £7bn of major projects. We are looking to recruit high value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment. PPP is delivering major projects, site wide improvements and provision of supporting services.

We are currently looking for an experienced Project Information Manager to join the BEPS2 (one of the big projects) team in Birchwood.

The BEPPS2 BIM (building information management) Manager collaborates with the Project Digital Engineering Manager and is accountable to the Project Manager and Project Engineering Manager for the timely delivery of ‘the BEPPS2 digital asset’, i.e. accurate information (documents, data & models) generated, collected, integrated and transferred by the Project to the Client.

Key responsibilities (not exhaustive)

  • Create data outputs to allow project performance to be measured.

  • Receive, maintain and make available information from the Information Model;

  • Enable integration and coordination of information within the Information Model;

  • Populate the information exchange format for the Information Model; and

  • Ensure the availability of the Common Data Environment to all task teams, accept / reject information exchanges within the Common Data Environment, enable reliable information exchange through a Common Data Environment;

  • Develop, oversee, and ensure the success of the Exchange Information Requirements at each delivery stage, ensure the information is configured to meet requirements of the EIR

  • Develop and gain concensus of the Project Information Standard, Project Information Methods and Procedures, the use of reference information.

  • Assess the Task Teams capability to produce information according to the Project Information Standard, Project Information Methods and Procedures.

  • Assure the Project Information Model is in accordance with the the Project Information Standard, Project Information Methods and Procedures.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Proven experience in a technical and/or engineering space with a thorough understanding of project information management principles and application.

  • Experience working in the Construction, or Engineering industry.

  • A degree, HND/ HNC or professional certification in a related subject.

  • Experience of implementing various interconnecting Electronic Data Management Systems.
