About the opportunity:

A Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive knowledge and experience using Inventor (and Inventor Vault) is required to support the design of the Process Cabinets scope of work on SCP. The candidate will have good working experience of the design for manufacture stage of a project and have the ability to produce manufacturing drawings to BS8888. They will need to produce detail drawings using Inventor software including GA’s, manufacturing details and parts lists. A good working knowledge of geometric tolerances and limits & fits is preferred. They must be able to work independently and without supervision. The candidate will also be required check drawings in this short-term role. Nuclear experience is preferred.

  • Significant experience of working within a highly regulated industry, preferably within the nuclear industry.

  • Experience using Inventor / AutoCAD is essential

  • Experienced in the production and checking of manufacturing detailed drawings to BS8888.

  • Familiar with the relevant standards and codes.

  • It is essential the candidate can manage their own workload and that of others and drive completion of the work scope independently against a demanding schedule.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with other team members and with the Client ICs.
