About the Opportunity

We are seeking individuals with strong Underground Utility detection experience to support the expansion of our UK Surveying and Reality Capture business. The surveyor will be required to efficiently organize and maintain field survey teams and equipment. They will be able to review job specifications and plan fieldwork methods, and accurately observe, calculate and record field data for a complete field to finish product.

  • Demonstrable experience working on Utility Mapping projects and have demonstrable project experience.

  • Demonstrable experience managing Utility Mapping field crews.

  • Work without direct day-to-day supervision and make technical and supervisory decisions for projects assigned within specified limits of authority.

  • Experience with operating and interpreting digital outputs from various Utility Mapping instruments including the GPR and EML

  • Experience with Survey modelling and GPR post-processing software.

  • Experience with Autodesk packages

  • Past Surveying experience, particularly in the UK Highways Sector and Water Sector

  • Full driving licence is essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred but not essential

  • Professional Membership of a Chartered Institution preferred but not essential

  • Evidence of planning daily activities considering possible multiple projects to meet productivity goals set by Project Managers.

  • Evidence of recommendations to Project Managers for external equipment, procedural changes, and new equipment purchases.

  • Evidence of input to Project Managers and Group Leaders for the formal performance evaluation of crew members.

  • Evidence of survey department and field team training
