About the Opportunity

PEJ Sp z.o.o. (PEJ) is the state-owned entity responsible for delivering Poland’s nuclear power programme. PEJ’s Engineering Department is responsible for providing engineering oversight during the delivery of the programme

The role of the PEJ Civil Engineering Expert is to support the civil engineering and technical programme of work, define suppliers’ programme of work and to assure the quality of deliverables that are prepared by PEJ and its suppliers. The PEJ Civil Engineering Expert collaborates with other project functions and is supported by a team of civil engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in coordination and integration of civil engineering and technical aspects within the development of the Polish Nuclear Power Project;

  • Participation in approval process of civil engineering and technical deliverables;

  • Support in defining future programmes of work associated with civil engineering that are to be undertaken by PEJ and its suppliers;

  • Participation in identification of future civil engineering roles and the associated recruitment of team members;

  • Support in defining and implementing development needs within the civil engineering team;

  • Provision of guidance to the PEJ Engineering Manager and other members of the Polish Nuclear Power Project team on civil engineering and technical matters; and

  • Interacting with the suppliers on civil engineering and technical matters associated with the Polish Nuclear Power Project.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in civil engineering

  • 15+ years in nuclear

  • Engineering Management conventional island

  • BOP scopes cooling water systems including nuclear units operation (new builds, operational readiness preparedness

  • Knowledge of and/or experience of civil engineering design contracts in the nuclear sector or other heavily regulated industry (such as oil & gas, rail…)

  • Project management qualification and/or experience
