About the Opportunity

PEJ Sp z.o.o. (PEJ) is the state-owned entity responsible for delivering Poland’s nuclear power programme. PEJ’s Engineering Department is responsible for providing engineering oversight during the delivery of the programme

The role of the PEJ Embedded QA Manager is to be responsible for the work of the QA Team on the development, implementation and maintenance of QA processes, procedures and tools, and to craft the QA strategy and plans while coordinating the QA activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and defining QA activities (licensing, engineering and design, procurement, manufacturing, construction) during various PEJ’s projects’ phases.

  • Defining key processes and their roles in QA (owner, vendors, 2nd party and 3rd party (UDT) and suppliers).

  • Defining and implementing a graded approach for PEJ’s QA ongoing activities and the requirements for projects’ milestones.

  • Defining and implementing key QA processes for PEJ’s QA-related programmes, including internal QA processes and audits

  • Defining and implementing external related QA processes (suppliers’ qualification and surveillance, audits, inspections, management of non-conformities, corrective measures and change management).

  • Definition of measuring and testing equipment approach.

  • Definition of KPIs, acceptance criteria and control measures for all processes.

  • Definition of additional organization and personnel requirements (resources) for successful execution of QA programme.

  • Planning, coordination and control of internal and external QA/QC activities during all project phases

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • 15+ years in nuclear

  • Worked in a QA/QC Manager capacity in the past

  • Significant experience in Quality management on large projects leading teams of people

  • Proven ability to engage Senior Management and variety of stakeholders to work in the interest of improving quality

  • Ability to contribute to the management of a high performing team that continuously outperforms expectations and objectives

  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems and experience of the application of ISO 9001 standard in a construction, engineering or industrial context.

  • Ability to present to diverse and large audience engaging them in useful discussion

  • Be able to write informative, concise and meaningful reports

  • Possess excellent organisation and communication skills
