Senior Construction Superintendent

Description

As a Senior Construction Superintendent at our client location in Washington, DC, you’ll provide direction to the General Contractor regarding quality, safety, and general day to day operations.

You’ll also:

  • Monitor the activities of contractors and subcontractors performing all types of construction from site layout to finish carpentry, ensuring compliance with project quality, safety, and security requirements

  • Ensure that employees are trained on and aware of specifications and work procedures and are utilized to ensure optimal efficiency

  • Maintain effective schedule and cost control of craft personnel

  • Plan required work activity to ensure that design drawings, tools, equipment, and materials are available when needed

  • Be responsible for safety of supervised personnel; ensures that craft personnel comply with established safety policies and procedures, and that they practice safe work habits

Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • High School diploma

  • 3 or more years of construction site experience as a Superintendent.

  • 8 years experience in construction, specifically in masonry facade restoration

  • Professional certifications including OSHA 30, suspended scaffolding, and supported scaffolding.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Experience using Microsoft Suite

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Ability to read electronic scheduling tools such as P6 is preferred

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred
