Senior Construction Superintendent
As a Senior Construction Superintendent at our client location in Washington, DC, you’ll provide direction to the General Contractor regarding quality, safety, and general day to day operations.
Monitor the activities of contractors and subcontractors performing all types of construction from site layout to finish carpentry, ensuring compliance with project quality, safety, and security requirements
Ensure that employees are trained on and aware of specifications and work procedures and are utilized to ensure optimal efficiency
Maintain effective schedule and cost control of craft personnel
Plan required work activity to ensure that design drawings, tools, equipment, and materials are available when needed
Be responsible for safety of supervised personnel; ensures that craft personnel comply with established safety policies and procedures, and that they practice safe work habits
Here’s what you’ll need:
High School diploma
3 or more years of construction site experience as a Superintendent.
8 years experience in construction, specifically in masonry facade restoration
Professional certifications including OSHA 30, suspended scaffolding, and supported scaffolding.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Experience using Microsoft Suite
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Ability to read electronic scheduling tools such as P6 is preferred
Bachelors of Science Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred
