Jacobs Sr Software Engineer- Hybrid in Washington, District Of Columbia

Your Impact:

As part of the DoD HPCMP CREATE Meshing and Geometry Team, your mission will be developed and apply computational workflows utilizing geometry-based modeling for a range of engineering analyses and design scenarios. – Must be able to demonstrate the ability to understand physics-based modeling requirements and work closely with the development team to offer computational solutions to the user community. – Must be able to identify gaps and needed improvements in geometric modeling and mesh generation capabilities to realize needed workflows


Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelors with 10 years of experience, or a Master's with 6

  • Demonstrated experience of using one or more geometric modeling and/or finite element tools

  • Evidence of helping diagnose problems in software tools and perform quality assurance

  • Evidence of ability to write technical documents and tutorials

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

  • Experience in DevOps, software testing


  • An understanding of analysis and design process for engineering systems involving flow, acoustics and structures.

  • Ability to write programming scripts and test programs.
