Key Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure safety is the highest priority on the project, with a continued strive towards Zero Harm. Lead by example, undertaking at least one safety tour every month across project sites.

  • Provide all procurement resource to the project management led delivery teams as required to support the safe, on time and on budget delivery of the project.

  • Ensure all labour provided meets the project SQEP requirements.

  • Optimise procurement resources across BEP accessing high quality from JV partners, SL and ASW’s

  • Identify future resourcing needs and ensure that training plans and succession are aligned to the project requirements.

  • Share learning and best practice across the procurement function, incorporate learning from wider parent organisation activities and capture BEP lessons learned to support innovation.

  • Manage an effective central procurement team and provide procurement awareness and development assistance to the wider project team

  • Put in place and maintain all processes and procedures required for procurement delivery on BEP JV

  • Build relationships with client and suppliers to ensure that the collaborative culture and standards established are effectively deployed and extended within the procurement team.

  • Work collaboratively with other disciplines to ensure procurement aspects of project delivery meet agreed timescales.

  • Active participation in the high performance Project Leadership Team

  • Role model, hold self and others accountable for the behaviours, processes and approach that support collaborative working across BEP stakeholders

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience of operation of industry standard forms of contract such as those produced by NEC3, ICHemE and FIDIC for example.

• Experience of complex project financed schemes with multiple contract tiers.

• Experience of joint ventures with international partners.

• Experience of international sub-contracting and suppliers.

• Experience of working with multiple currencies.
