With several existing and new long term panel contracts with leading Power Utilities across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the UK, the Jacobs Energy & Power team continues to grow with the aim of becoming a leading provider of engineering solutions in Power Transmission Lines and Power Civil/Structural Solutions.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Our New Zealand Energy & Power team requires a highly experienced Principal Transmission Lines Engineer with expertise in scoping, feasibility, design and delivery of Transmission Lines. This opportunity will be a focal point of delivery in Transmission Line design and project delivery. Clients will view you as a respected, trusted adviser with the capability to deliver business requirements on time and on budget. We’re flexible about where and how you work and will consider Auckland, Christchurch, or Wellington office locations. We’re looking for someone who is interested in the following responsibilities:

  • Manage and undertake technical reviews of project deliverables and participate in project and client meetings.

  • Actively support the achievement of growth targets in sales and revenue through client interaction, development of clients, achieve strategy and proposal development, interviews, and presentations.

  • Complete sit visits and support projects through the delivery / construction phase.

  • Mentor and develop fellow team members to grow the Jacobs offering in Transmission Line Engineering.

  • Oversee the technical direction to engineers locally and in our Global Delivery Centres to enable the delivery of Transmission Line design packages.

  • Relevant Tertiary Degree in either Mechanical or Civil/Structural field and Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) will be highly regarded.
