Whilst busy delivering on a wide range of premier built environment projects, we are seeking to grow our team through the addition of a Senior Project Manager with Infrastructure experience.
Responsible for managing and delivering projects medium to large scale projects in the NZ Performance Units to the agreed commercial, schedule and quality in accordance with Jacobs GSOP’s and systems.
The right candidate will further strengthen our existing PM offering, through their proven ability to support complex projects, to foster team and client relationships, and to support repeat and future work-winning through successful project delivery and exceeding our clients’ expectations.
Based in our Wellington team, this role will focus on supporting projects – but brings exciting opportunities to connect to and serve our broader Jacobs business across ANZ and beyond. You will support your team to be engaged, resilient and adaptable, and inspire them to strive for innovation while maintaining outstanding project delivery and making disciplined investment decisions aligned with the Focus 20/100 client strategy.
The Project Manager – is responsible for working as part of a team to provide project and design management services to the clients in the sectors.
Business Development and Working with clients to secure future work.
The Project Manager – must have a good understanding in managing complex engineering design packages.
Responsible for implementing Jacobs QA procedures and Client QA requirements. Monitoring and reporting of project progress, risks and issues.
Hands on project and design management including civil, mechanical, electrical and structural engineering disciplines.
Management of time, cost, budget and change management.
Facilitate the production of documentation to enable construction. Ensure project work complies with the project scope of works, statutory/regulatory requirements and client standards.
Support field work of clients and their contractors during commissioning. Managing the review of drawings and documents by Senior Designers and Engineers in various groups.
Meet commercial outcomes by managing own hours and budgets, and where applicable hours and budgets of other team members.
Reporting and monitoring of project financial performance.
Preparation of cost estimates and drawing lists for projects.
Mentor and develop more junior colleagues.
