By joining our team as a bridge engineer, you’ll partner with an established team of professionals to work on bridge design projects and perform analysis and design for all structural engineering aspects of transportation (highway and rail) projects.

We’ll ask you to assist with planning, analysis, design, plan preparation, specification development and report writing. We regularly work with geotechnical elements so you will use your general understanding of geotechnical engineering evaluations and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling while using HEC-RAS or other engineering software systems.

We’ll have you assist with less experienced teammates on transportation engineering projects to ensure that goals or objectives of these projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. One way you will continue to development professionally, is when we ask you to be active in technical societies and be available to attend meetings or events outside normal working hours.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

  • Professional years of demonstrated experience on various types of bridges, to include analysis, design and plan development of new and rehabilitation projects is required

  • Previously demonstrated project experience with CTDOT and other New England transportation agencies

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE)

  • Demonstrated proficient knowledge of AASTHOWare BrR and BrD, MDX, CSiBridge, Midas, or other structural design/analyses programs desirable.

  • Must have a solid understanding of and practical experience applying the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications to transportation structures.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Structural Engineer (SE) License
