Are you seeking a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed – today and into tomorrow? By joining our team, you’ll be a lead technical bridge engineer on bridge design projects and perform complex structural analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation (highway and rail) projects.

We’ll ask you to assist with planning, analysis, design, plan preparation, specification development, quantity and cost estimating, and report writing. We regularly work with geotechnical, highway, and hydraulic engineers so you will use your general understanding of those disciplines to coordinate project work.

As a lead structural engineer, we’ll expect you to assist less experienced teammates on transportation engineering projects to ensure that goals or objectives of these projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. One way you will continue to develop professionally, is when we ask you to be active in technical societies and be available to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.

At Jacobs, we’re partnering across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates. By joining Jacobs, you’ll commit to supporting and engaging with these teams, as we work to build a company like no other.

Jacobs’ health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. Your health. Your well-being. Your security. Your future. Employees have access to medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discount. Eligible employees may also enroll in a deferred compensation plan or the Executive Deferral Plan. Jacobs has an unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees, seven paid holidays, one floating holiday, and caregiver leave.
