Jacobs is seeking a Facilities/Public Works Operations Manager in the Williamsburg, VA area. Duties will include:

  • Be responsible for directing all phases of an O&M program from inception through completion

  • Act as primary customer contact for facilities O&M activities

  • Lead review sessions with the Customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance

  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules

  • Identify program problems and obtain solutions

  • Direct the work of employees assigned to facilities and grounds O&M

  • Identify a primary contact for after-hours facilities related emergency response

  • Submit requisite department reports

  • Direct all inclement weather response and provide updates as required

  • Conduct facility self-assessments and make recommendations to the COTR to increase efficiency and cost effectiveness on a continuous basis

  • Coordinate with the COTR and others on work schedule and performance activities

  • Provide technical support to operating entities

  • Interpret and implement maintenance policy

  • Develop emergency procedures and create an essential personnel ready team to assist in emergencies including, but not limited to weather-related actions, mission-critical activities, and security incidents.

Qualifications

  • Must possess and maintain a active TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph

  • Minimum of two (2) years college or vocational training related to function, plus eight (8) years direct experience, or any equivalent combination of education/experience for a total of ten (10) years.

  • Minimum of five (5) years management experience with three (3) years functional specific experience to direct, coordinate, and manage the work effort associated with facilities including, but not limited to roads, buildings and grounds maintenance, snow removal, utilities, and the maintenance of Customer equipment and property

Physical Requirements:

Most work will be done at a desk or computer.

Work Environment:

General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.

Equipment & Machines:

General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.

Attendance:Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation

Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed. Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check. Must be a US citizen.
