Mission Statement

MPSC III (Mission Planning Support Contract) is an arm of the CMS (Critical Mission Solutions) organization Soldiers and Mission Planners with the resources of tomorrow to ensure a safer, more secure flight path today. This is accomplished by supporting and maintaining the hardware and software configurations for the required Mission Planning Environments. Job Description

Jacobs is seeking a full time System Support Representative. The successful candidate will provide technical support, assistance, and maintain hardware/software configuration for certified Mission Planning Environments at assigned sites. Under certain circumstances, deploy with assigned units during peacetime and during conflict in theater operations outside of the United States. The selected applicant for this position must reside within driving distance to one of the below locations:

Berry Field ANGB/Nashville, TN

Biddle ANGB, PA

Boise, ID

Ellington Field/Houston, TX

Fargo, ND

Fort Smith, AR

Hancock ANGB/Syracuse, NY

Riverside/March ARB, CA

Typical Duties

Work scope may include any/all of the following duties:

  • Support primary and secondary customers and may be required to support a multi-state region by performing updates, upgrades, maintenance, and disposition of hardware/software.

  • Analyze software, hardware, and system malfunctions, and implement corrective actions.

  • Deliver technical briefings for users of mission planning systems, software, and data (including classified and unclassified source data) as required.

  • Support unit needs during exercises, daily training, deployments, and real-world contingencies. Provide SSR support/expertise as requested by the Mission Planning Systems Support Facility.

o The base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $85,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

  • Information Technology experience with Military, Aviation, and/or Mission Planning experience required.

Essential Functions for Position

Physical Requirements: Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.

Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates. Needs to be able to work well with co-workers, customer, and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions. Work site can be any of the below locations:

Equipment and Machines : Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.

Attendance : Regular hours will be between Monday – Friday 0700 - 1700. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.

Other Essential Functions : Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management, and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer’s locations and the test fields may be required to support projects. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.
