As a Water and Wastewater Designer in Winnipeg, MB, you will work with our team of highly motivated engineers and project managers to deliver ongoing and upcoming projects in the water industry. You will draw on our knowledge to support drinking water, wastewater, reuse, conveyance, and/or industrial treatment process planning, modeling, and design by performing statistical analyses, data evaluations for inclusion in technical documents. You will learn how to use hydraulics, water chemistry and quality, and treatment processes and equipment to produce meaningful solutions to local, regional, and national treatment project challenges based on applicable regulations, and established standards and software.
You will participate in the development of water industry related engineering studies, reports, drawings, specifications, contract documents, proposals, and cost estimates under the supervision of our team; and provide construction administration services and field engineering services during construction as needed.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a related discipline (e.g. Chemical, Environmental, Biosystems, Mechanical or Civil Engineering; Environmental Engineering or Municipal Engineering Technology)
0-2 years of experience
Licensed (or eligible to be licensed) as an engineering intern or associate technologist in the Province of Manitoba
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong data analysis skills, technical problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and multitasking ability
Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite)
Attention to detail, self motivation, and the ability to work independently with direction
Ideally you’ll also have:
Previous work experience (via co-operative, internship or otherwise)
An understanding of water and wastewater design (via co-operative term, internship, course work, design/capstone project, or otherwise)
An understanding of the consulting engineering industry and how it works
An understanding of how a design project progresses from conceptual design to commissioning
Experience with modelling software (via co-operative term, internship, course work, design/capstone project, or otherwise)
Construction or facility operations experience
