About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Change Manager to join our Delivery and Construction Framework. We currently have a number of projects in the design development stage, to allow the projects to progress through to construction, management of the clients Asset Change process is required.

As a part of the delivery of engineering projects, consideration must be given to changes made to fixed equipment and structures to ensure there are no consequences which will affect safe operation and condition of surrounding assets to impact the safe running of the site. Our client has a defined process to control this sequence, the successful candidate will work within the process to manage a successful outcome.

The successful candidates will be responsible for guiding engineering project through defined document control and management processes to ensure a smooth transition to construction through inviting stakeholders for their input, compiling documentation and presenting the information, reviewing input to achieve a successful result.

The candidate will be flexible, knowledgeable, willing and able to function both within the team and independently as required. This role carries excellent career prospects and candidates are welcome from all experience levels.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Management of the asset change process throughout its lifecycle from identification of requirement to client advisory board approval and closeout.

  • Confidence in operating defined document control and management processes.

  • Building and maintaining engagement relationships with client teams and governance boards and a confidence in communicating.

  • Become proficient in the Asset Change Request process and enable knowledge sharing with wider project management team.

  • Develop an understanding of the categorisation selection procedure based on ACR knowledge material.

  • Have a basic understanding of design and construction project management elements and critical path workflow.

  • Be able to work within multiple programmes and confidently meet expected dates of completion and be prepared to engage with stakeholders on a regular basis regarding multiple ACR applications.

  • Develop a basic understanding of the correct safety case categorisation for the facility in question and support the iterative close out and handover of the project.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • You should be a sole UK national with the ability to obtain SC (Security Clearance)

  • Degree qualified in appropriate engineering or management subject preferred.

  • Willingness to complete the clients in house ACM training modules.

  • Understanding of managing a team to influence a successful outcome including recognition of efficiencies in a process to implement change

  • Understanding of administration delivery processes and their governance

  • Awareness of quality procedures will be provided in-postSuperior interpersonal skills are required to enable effective interaction with clients, seniors and peers while working in a “Team” environment

  • Able to build and maintain effective internal and external working relationships.

  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and quality are required along with a process improvement-oriented mindset

  • Capable of effective multi-task working, identifying, and managing priorities and working to challenging time scales

  • Must possess good listening/ communication skills enabling requests to be assimilated and converted into action plans.

Desirable (Not essential):

  • Evidence of experience project administration delivery.

  • Evidence of experience within a similarly highly regulated nuclear environment.

  • Experience of managing cross-functional teams in a highly regulated environment.
