Jacobs is looking for an experienced programme planning manager to lead and co-ordinate Planning & Scheduling processes across Jacobs Major projects. At a high level:
Be the primary point of contact on a programme, ensuring that Planning & Scheduling best practices are implemented across all the programme consistently
To grow the maturity/capacity of the planning & schedule management function within the organisation/any assigned Major Programme
In consultation with the Programme leadership team, define the planning & schedule management processes, procedures and systems required to deliver accurate schedule information
Establish planning guidance for our supply chain to ensure alignment with requirements from Programme schedules
Provide leadership to teams of Planners.
Schedule Change Management, Quantity Trackers, Progress reports (top-Down, Bottom’s-Up)
Act as the subject matter expert for planning related trouble-shooting including disputes, Extensions of Time etc.
Develop relationships with internal/external stakeholders, clients and JV partners, to build and enhance our planning capabilities
Support reporting processes on Programmes
To develop, establish & maintain master integrated schedules (Baselines & current) from which to monitor, analyse, report and forecast performance on Programmes
To provide robust schedule data and reporting to help Programmes deliver on time and to budget
Providing training to roll out the developed schedule management policies, processes and procedures across the programme including the development of in-house planning talent
Establish reporting mechanisms and processes, including the integration of schedule data into other systems (cost, Data hub/AWS etc.,)
Facilitate the execution of schedule management activities and/or the embedding of these activities into the “business as usual” processes
Implementing greater delegation and accountability throughout the organisation
Be a key member of Jacobs Planning & Scheduling Community of Practice
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Extensive Senior Programme Planner/Programme Planning Manager level experience, leading teams on major construction/infrastructure programmes
Experience in complex telecommunications projects with infrastructure/construction deployments would also be of interest
Working experience of Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM, MS Project and understanding of other planning, Cost, Risk, Reporting Tools
Innovative, Continuous Improvement through Lean Management
In-depth knowledge of Project Management methodology and practices e.g. PMBOK, Prince
Ability to prioritize and juggle tasks in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment
Detail oriented and delivery focused with ability to analyse data
Proven and demonstrable experience of successfully delivering programmes/projects
Excellent stakeholder management experience
Excellent communication and team-building skills
