We are looking to recruit a talented and experienced Rail Systems Integration Engineer to help deliver and solve complex engineering challenges in the railway sector.
The role will be primarily based in York working within our multi-discipline teams helping deliver complex rail infrastructure projects both within the UK and Internationally.
The ideal candidate should extensive experience in
System Engineering preferably in Railway applications through the whole Rail Project Lifecycle,
A working knowledge of EN50126,
A working knowledge of CSM REA and Interoperability requirements would be desirable,
Working knowledge of other European, British and Railway standards would be desirable.
Experience in Railway Safety Case requirements would be advantageous. Responsibilities
Identify, develop & manage system integration & architectural processes;
Audit system integration & architectural processes delivered by programme delivery organisations;
Manage project integration within the programme, and provide technical guidance to integrate the programme into rail industry environment;
Facilitate the development & management of key documents including configuration state matrices for industry programme integration;
Hold an MEng/BEng/BSc(Hons) or Science/Engineering related degree and be a Chartered Engineer or working towards CEng status;
Systems architecture & interface modelling;
Have a working knowledge and understanding of NR Asset Management databases and information systems;
Validation and verification of large-scale rail infrastructure projects;
Planning, documentation and monitoring of systems engineering activities;
Competent in MS Excel & MS Visio;
Ability to work as part of a multi-discipline team;
Manage own day to day time and activities;
Meet scheduled deadlines;
Good interpersonal skills;
Understand the GRIP Process;
Ability to formally present information to a varied audience;
Ability to implement and lead system processes.
Knowledge of DOORs & System Architect;
An appreciation of environmental and sustainability issues in engineering works.
